During my study of electronics for the music business in London 1983, we had a day trip to Trevor Horns studio Sarm, to see a real recording studio at work. It was love at first sight and I knew that I had found the career for me. I trained as an assistant at Sarm working on such projects as Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Scritti Pollitti, Nik Kershaw, The Art of Noise, Boy George and of course Wham! It was here I worked with Trevor Horn, Steven Lipson, Julian Mendelsohn, and Peter Collins among many others.
I left Sarm and became a freelance assistant/engineer and started being booked equally for both jobs working with the likes of The Water Boys, Echo & the Bunnymen, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Wet Wet Wet, George Michael, The Christians and Genesis. I spent 8 months with Thomas Dolby making the amazing Prefab Sprout album 'Jordan the Comeback'.
Over the years I'd worked with producers such as Trevor Horn, Hugh Padgham, Peter Collins, Steven Lipson, Phil Collins, George Michael, Mick Glossop, Jeff Lynn, Julian Mendelsohn, Laurie Latham, Steven Hague, Thomas Dolby.
I enjoy working in the role as an engineer/producer with both solo artists and bands and I love mixing. I have been involved in album projects that have taken a few hours to many, many months. After 13 years of working flat out I decided to take a year out in from England in Australia and returned to live in Australia at the end of August 98 where I've specialized in mixing and production with local artists.
